For the last few months we’ve been slowly but surely building our gallery wall up the stairs and through to the landing. I wanted it to be random, filled with different photos, prints and memories.

\ud83d\uddbc Don’t plan – Now, I know this sounds crazy but for a large scale gallery wall, especially one like this which is fitting a funny shape (up the stairs), it’s best to go one by one in adding artwork, creating a gridlock type style.

\ud83d\uddbc Check out the gift shop – Never skip the art gallery gift shop! A lot of our prints are collected from gallery gift shops around the world. I got this Hockney print on a birthday trip to Paris a few years back (Hockney is my most favourite). Not only do I just LOVE the print itself, it always brings me back the happiest memories! The Mumok print was collected last year on Guy’s birthday trip to Vienna – I love the colours.

\ud83d\uddbc Be sentimental, creatively! – I love to include nods to our favourite happy times and our Mapiful <\/a>print is the coordinates of our wedding venue \ud83d\udc96

\ud83d\uddbc Don’t be afraid to mix & match – Of the photos we’ve included on our wall, we’ve played with colour and black & white, size and orientation. Here I’ve got photos of my angel baby Oscar \ud83d\udc7c\ud83d\udc36 along with some our our favourite wedding photos (does anyone else feel weird having photos of themselves up around the house?!)

\ud83d\uddbc Experiment with magazine covers – Whether it’s a framed copy of Vogue or, like us, a collection of vintage NME covers, magazines are interesting to look at, a moment in history plus are reflective of your personality.

We’ve still got plenty more to go, but for this one I’m happy to take it slow and only add artwork when we fall in love with it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
